The hotel was located in the very heart of the city...

Everything was perfect, had a special stay of a beautiful town. It was in a stunning location with a perfect horseshoe-shaped theatre nearby. Area around had a lot of choice for meals and drinks, restaurants and great restaurants. The staff turned out to be friendly.

Staying at Relais 147 was like discovering a hidden gem in the heart of Taormina. The lush garden provided a serene escape from the bustling streets. I loved having breakfast served in the garden area. The combination of fresh options and the tranquil ambiance was perfect. Rohid, our host, elevated our stay with tailored recommendations and his warm hospitality. The Beautiful Room featured a spacious terrace that became my go-to spot for morning coffee. An issue I faced was the noise from Corso Umberto during the late hours. As a light sleeper, this became a bit disruptive. The hotel lacks dedicated parking, so I had to park at Porta Catania and walk a short distance, which can be inconvenient. Despite these inconveniences, the overall charm of the hotel and the personal touches were good.

The courtyard's really good charm stands out as a highlight, offering a beautiful spot to relax. The room's decor carries a quaint appeal that adds character to the stay.

The breakfast options fell majorly short. A broken coffee machine and a lack of basic items like eggs and orange juice were disappointing. Stains on the furniture and walls diminished the overall cleanliness, and a broken toilet seat took too long to fix. The safe isn't anchored, and the complimentary water that should be standard wasn't provided. The noise from Corso Umberto kept guests restless, especially with late-night music from nearby bars.

Keep in mind that the 300-meter walk from the nearest taxi drop-off can be cumbersome, especially during busy hours. Stairs led to our room, which may challenge those with mobility issues.
